Media Music: Post your personal connection song on your class page. Then read your classmates and the other classes personal connection song memories. Make a comment beneath a couple of the student's songs you can relate to or maybe you share that song!

Media Art is ending and Media Music begins. First we complete our advertising unit then we will be studying Music through the Decades. You'll get to choose a personal connection song, analyze Music Videos and how the delivery of music has changed. On the creating side we'll get to create beats in garage band, and create music videos using our newly created music!

Happy New Year! 2011 is here. This week is the last week for all students to be working on the individual video projects in class. All students should have video or photos to edit in I-movie then upload to www.schooltube.com
Next unit is Advertising and that begins on January 10th. The Media Art course ends on January 31st.
Week of December 20th: This is the last week of videotaping. Look for photos on flickr/creative commons to use as placeholders when we edit in I-movie in class after the break. Week of December 13th: We are in the production phase of our video project. If you have not handed in your pre-production work please do so (you will have points taken off for being late but better late than never!!

Week of December 6th - Learning I-Movie, recording voice-overs in garage band, videotaping, looking for photos on flickr/creative commons to go with your video ,give attribution - credit, to the photographer in your credits or write below photograph.Look for copyright free music (go to my portaportal mediafash copyright folder and visit those sites or create in garage band).
December is here. Videotaping has begun. Some students have begun videotaping their individual passion videos. Some students may want you to be a part of their video. That will be a great experience but don't forget your project as well!
Go to your class page and on the table type in your name, project and when you will be videotaping and where your locations are.

Your audio scripts and storyboards and camera shot lists should be complete and you can now schedule (go to your individual project page click edit and add your name to the table telling me what date and camera you are using) when you will borrow the camera to videotape your individual video project. Don't wait. Once you have your pre-production done start!!

Permission Slips for the trip to the MetropolitanMuseum ofArt trip are being given out this week. Please have your parents sign your permission slip and return it as soon as possible. This is an exciting part of the unit we have just started on examining art.

Now that you have come up with your own idea for a video project if you know which idea is the one you would like to create a video about think about : what video shots you will shoot to tell or create the story. Write a camera shot list describing the type and angle of your shots
Editing a Video Project: As you are learning about shooting video and editing I will ask you to do individual work on the computer using this valuable resource for video editing: Learning to shoot and edit video
